It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity that combines hands-on engineering experience with personalised mentorship and exclusive industry exposure - in partnership with Komatsu and Atlassian Williams F1 Team.

At Atlassian Williams F1 Team, we believe our people and culture are the driving force behind our future championship success. That’s why uncovering and nurturing the brightest talent from across the globe is central to everything we do.
We’re proud to introduce the Komatsu-Williams Engineering Academy, empowering 10 high-potential students each year with exceptional mentoring and unique opportunities to shape the future of engineering and excel throughout their education.
What's new this year?
The Komatsu Williams Engineering Academy has evolved. For the first time, applications are open globally to first and second year university students participating in Formula Student or FSAE worldwide.

Are students able to attend a race weekend
Attending grand prix races is not guaranteed. Details of the 2027 programme schedule will be released later this year.
How long is the academy?
This depends on your year of study and home country. Our learning platform delivers engineering insight across three years, with early careers opportunities at both Atlassian Williams F1 Team and Komatsu available throughout. We're looking to educate and inspire the next generation of Formula 1 leaders - people who will shape the future of the sport.
